There’s a storm gathering on the horizon and we’re proud to say Bleeding Silver is in the eye. As we move deeper into the development phase, we want to share the strides we’ve made, the world we’re building, and how you, our growing community, can step into this southwestern gothic horror with us.

1. Foundations & Local Infrastructure

From the very beginning, our priority has been to anchor Bleeding Silver in the land that inspired it. We’ve locked in essential infrastructure support across Southern Arizona—local vendors, crew, equipment houses, and historic locations are signing on. We’ve formed partnerships with Monsoon Production Services, From The Heart Productions (our 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor), the Southern Arizona Film Society, and EdgeHound Productions. These alliances not only provide resources and legitimacy—they allow us to build a film that is of this place, not just about it.

2. Casting & Production Consultants

Our creative team has grown stronger. We have secured casting direction under Carmen Aiello. Our production consultants—including Matt Chassin—are helping define visuals, tone, and pacing so that the film carries both haunting folklore and visceral authenticity. On top of that, Richard “Chomps” Thompson (writer & director), Lamont Bellsarios (Producer), Matt Chassin (Production Consultant), Carmen Aiello (Casting Director), Quin Davis (SFX), Irina Chernikina, Steven Lifshey, Christine Jansen, and others bring deep experience and shared vision.

These professionals are not just filling roles—they’re helping shape Bleeding Silver’s brand. Our proof‑of‑concept materials are taking shape: mood boards, storyboards, visual concept sketches. Soon, we’ll begin recording teaser footage to present at this year’s American Film Market. We want AFM to see not just a pitch, but a pulse—a world alive with dust, whispers, and silvered dread.

3. Proof of Concept & Pitch Preparation

We’ve already begun storyboarding, exploring how our anthology’s three tales interconnect—not only through plot, but symbol, atmosphere, and visual texture. Scenes are being fleshed out with detail: the land, the frontier town, the cursed deals, the supernatural backlog. Sketches of the mine, charred fields, showgirls, and stagecoach robbery fill our concept art. These help us communicate the weight of history and horror when we go to markets—and to you.

4. Join Us in This Dark Frontier

Everything above has been built with intention. But stories like Bleeding Silver are communal: built with many hands, many hearts. So today we open the floor—invite you in. Our campaign is live. Now’s the time for fans, believers, patrons of the strange and beautiful to step forward. Whether you want behind‑the‑scenes access, art prints, your name in the credits, or just to watch this flame grow - there’s a place for you.

What’s Next

  • Filming pilot/proof‑of‑concept scenes for AFM

  • Confirming lead actor attachments so that the script isn’t just words, but faces

  • Deepening research into folklore, period authenticity, and supernatural lore

  • Sharing more visuals: gallery updates, team interviews, and sneak peeks

Thank you to everyone who has already believed, donated time or resources, shared a post, or simply stayed tuned. There’s a long road in the dust ahead—but if you look closely, you’ll see silver glinting. The horror, the shadows, the folk tales - they’re waiting to be told.

Stay haunted. Stay hopeful. Stay connected.

Richard “Chomps” Thompson
